The Root Chakra is responsible for how we sustain ourselves on physical and emotional levels. The first chakra can become a storage place for old memories and experiences from family life, and experiences that molded our sense of identity, ability and self. The Root Chakra is also related to survival, our body and identity as an individual. Our health, constitution and security including material wealth are all linked to the root chakra. This chakra is our energy foundation, and is where we connect with our physical body. By connecting with this chakra, we feed both our physical and spiritual needs. Through this chakra, we are guided on our journey through life.Balanced Chakra: When the root chakra is balanced and healthy individuals easily trust others, feel grounded, and are financially stable. They know who they you are, where they are going, and what it takes to get where they'd like to be.
Unbalanced Chakra: When the root chakra is unbalanced or blocked individuals feel anxious, insecure, depressed, and frustrated. Problems like obesity, anorexia and troubles can occur in “Root” body parts which include the hips, legs, lower back and sexual organs.
